 Some of the items that will be placed here will be information we get from the International concerning things that are happening in Congress, OPM, etc.  Posting here of political information (e-mails) provided by the International does not mean that Local 12 agrees or disagrees with the position.  It is just being made available for you to make your own decision.

Here is the contact information (phone numbers, FAX numbers and web-sites) for the Washington State elected officials (federal).  In most instances when you click on the congressman/woman's web-site it shows on a map the district he/she represents.

Miscellaneous Information

This is an open a href="documents/HouseChineseCurrencyManipulation.pdf">letter from the International in support of a bill in the House to give the government the needed flexibility to enforce trade rules. 

Read the SECNAV response to Congresman Norm Dicks letter concerning Grandfathered Comp Time.  It was a positive response.

Norm Dick;s office sent a letter to the Dept of Navy asking for an extension to the time frame for PSNS & IMF employee's have to use their grandfathered comp time.  Click here to read that letter.  When we get information back, it will be posted also.

A new coalition of Labor Unions has come together to continue the good work that the UDWC statrted.  The UDWC will stay in existance until all NSPS employees have transitioned back into the GS series.  Read the International's outlook on this new coalition.

The House of Representatives committee on Oversight and Government Reform sent a letter to the Joint Select Committee on Deficit Reduction concerning changes to the Federal Retirement systems they think should be implemented.  Reda that letter here.
