Council of Engineers and Scientists Organizations (CESO) |
A group of professional labor unions representing nearly 100,000 engineers,
scientists, technical and administrative employees. It is the largest
organization of its kind in the United States. The five goals of CESO are:

Act as an advocate in Washington, DC for issues affecting engineering,
scientific, technical and other professional employees.
- Exchange collective bargaining data and other information among the member
unions.
- Recruit additional member unitons into CESO
- Encourage unionization of professional and technical employees.
- Build coalitions wth other groups and advocate for common issues.

|
Achieve a workforce that reflects the diversity of our community and nation by: |
- Increasing awareness and changing our image.
- Encouraging, valuing, and developing our current workforce.
- Recruiting and sustaining our workforce of the future
- Creating a better understanding of our differences to promote PSNS & IMF as the
"Employer of Choice".

Labor Management Partnership Council (LMPC) |
|
A partnership council which consists of the top leaders of PSNS & IMF and
representative from both labor organizations, IFPTE Local 12 and BMTC. All
have equal voices in this forum. LMPC meets monthly to discuss any issues
concerning the Shipyard (i.e. workload, budgetary concerns, labor concerns,
etc.) |

Professional Women's Employee Networing Group (PWENG) |
|
The Professional Women's Employee Networing Group (PWENG) is working to
improve hiring, retention, and development of professional women at PSNS & IMF.
We provide a safe learning environment for tomorrow's leaders to learn and
practice their leadership skills. We organize networking events and
outreach activities. We also currently have three action teams: |
1. Childcare Network
|
|
The Childcare Network has the goals of getting reasonable childcare
accomodations for our employees and networing parents in order to support each
other. |
|
2. Work-Life Balance |
|
The Work-Life Balance team is researching and recommending policy to PSNS & INF
pertaining to telecommuting, alternate work schedules, job sharing, and
part-time work.
|
|
3. Safety |
|
The Safety Team has researched the current personal safety issues on base and in
Bremerton. We have found out that ther are very few safety issues in
Bremerton pertaining to women walking to and from work. |

Puget Sound Naval Bases Association (PSNBA) |
|
The Puget Sound Naval Bases Association is a nonpartisan, non
profitorganization, dedicated to supporting local naval installations. PSNBA is
made up of several thousand members from Puget Sound Naval Shipyardand
Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PSNS & IMF); Naval Undersea Warfare Center,
Keyport; Naval Base Kitsap; and Fleet & Industrial Supply Center, Puget Sound.
PSNBA also has several hundred community members from businesses, organizations
and local government. PSNBA ensures the Navy and Congress never forget that
Kitsap County is wherethe Navy's past, present, and future were meant to be. |
